I'm looking to upgrade the tyres on the 110, the load rating on the stock grabbers says 120/116Q. I'm confused, will a tyre rated 116 be OK, why are there 2 load ratings?
Any ideas? Andy |

The duel load rating is for the possabilty of using this tyre on say a twin wheel application, like say a Winnibago.
On twin wheel fitting you take the lower rating (116) and on single wheel the higher of 120. The 116 rating is fine for your 110 Defender, the Michelin XZL fitted to most 130 Defenders are a 116N rating. Hope this helps Andy. Andy. www.ajstyres.co.uk 01737 241370 Junction 8 M25 Surrey. |

Thanks Andy
Price differential is very odd, guess it's down to the popularity? (from Cooper Tyres supplier website) 255/85R16 119/116N Outlined White Lettering 4x4 8 ply £132.07 265/75R16 116S Outlined White Lettering 4x4 £83.46 265/75R16 123/120N Outlined White Lettering 4x4 10 ply £129.80 Will probably go for the middle ones as they are miles cheaper!!
