I once had a JVC cd radio that used to turn itself on by itself unless it had a cd in it
I sold the vehicle/radio to my brother and it went wrong recently as it would not respond to anything you tried to input into it so could be a common similar JVC head unit fault? |

Suspect the Head unit has a fault rather than a wiring issue. Richard

Normally the radio units need +12V ignition (ON with key) and +12V permanet (battery), check the corrispondence with the radio pin out. Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

I had a similar problem. It was a cheapo Aldi head unit and I had to pull the head unit out, pull off the plug connector on the back of the head unit, put it back on and hey presto, until the next time!
Cured by replacing the head unit with a new JVC one. |
