Nice, this makes me feel save. Seems like London hoodlums prefer the Porsches in my street.

Wouldn't be complacent you never know.... have amended my original post to include another map which is a summary all the LR thefts posted on Landywatch since Feb'11 when it was set up, It's slightly different format at it starts off as pie charts but then breaks down as you zoom into the map itself Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Thanks Party Monkey,
Good indication of how concerned one should perhaps be, dependant on locat. Damn right about complacency though! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Presume these are just the thefts reported to Landywatch, If so I would have thought it would be a very small proportion of the number actually nicked! Are ALL the Police figures for Land Rovers included?

No thefts in Cyprus!!!
- It is well known here that cars/ car parts don't get stolen. The island is WAY too small to get away. If someone breaks into your car they will just steal any valuables and leave the car. My Defender barely gets locked any of the time as I don't keep valuables inside it- least that way they don't smash the window. Glyn |

AVCIS contacts tell me they have nothing on a national basis as thefts tend to be measured by force. They suggest I try somebody like NFU who may be able to generate something from their national claims data... Worth a try I guess..... Will report back in due course. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. I wonder where LRO get their figures from when they publish the latest LR thefts per county!

Very easy to get paranoid about loosing a great piece of kit. Just fitted these as an additional layer of security. Might just stop"an honest thief"

I’ve just been messaged by a Merseyside police officer that there were two defenders stolen from Maghull near liverpool in one burglary last night and to be extra cautious. No more details than that but although in Lancs I’m less than six miles from that. Proper worrying.
