Those are no different to the OBDII lead that comes with the scangauge as standard?

If you want to have the Scangauge connected permenantly then just push the OBD socket backwards and to the right , behind the R Speaker, and plug in the OBD lead from the Scangauge.
If you want to connect the Scangauge and still be able to "easily" connect other diagnostic equipment, then get an OBD "Y" connector. Fit as above but push 1 limb of the Y back into the fusebox and through the original OBD hole and secure in place. [ I just pulled the OBD plug through the hole then used some gaffer tape wrapped around the base of the OBD plug and then pushed it back into the OBD hole and now I can unplug the Scanguage at the display unit and the Dealer can plug in his diagnostic unit as usual without any interference/complaints ] http://www.obd2-shop.eu/obd2yadapterto2xob...anguage=en  LANDYWATCH

Sorry to appear thick, but how is the obi port removed so it can be pushed backwards?

Sorry, can't take any photos at present, but I was just able to jiggle it about a bit and it popped out backwards. I think there is some form of push clip at the back , on the side, which is part of the body of the connector. Probably not much help - but I didn't find it much of a problem.

Cheers for that, I guessed it might be a push fit but didn't want to break it.
I did a search earlier (no don't faint!) and there was mention of removing a torx screw and keeping it safe. The only torx I could see was a large silver headed one to the left of the socket and as the socket was a 'loose' fit didn't think this was the right one. Maybe something has changed since that original post (lorryrman the scanguage man) I think it was. I'll have a jiggle about when its light again. You could be right DJ. Mine is a 10MY and I didn't have to remove any screws etc: The OBD connector was basically a push fit so I just pushed it backwards , with a bit of jiggling, and then routed it into the space behind the R speaker and connected the Y connector to it. The correct side of the Y was then pushed back to the Fusebox side and through the OBD connector slot and the other limb of the Y connector plugged into the Scanguage lead/OBD plug. The connector in the fusebox was pulled through the OBD surround, wrapped in some gaffer tape and jammed back into the holder. Now when I go to the Dealers I just unplug the connector on the back of the Scanguage. The Dealer was quit impressed.

Posted In Error. Posted the TD5 diagnostic plug instead of the Puma 
Here is the Puma OBDII socket and the OBDII socket securing screw. To anyone who has pushed the socket out without undoing the screw, are you sure you haven't just pushed the OBD socket out of its mounting/securing bracket? Click image to enlarge Brian. |

That's what I did Lorryman100. Push the OBD socket out of its bracket and passed into space behind speaker and then connected it to a Y connector OBD cable. the Male OBD plug of the Y lead was then connected to the Scanguage lead and the other Male plug on the Y lead pushed back into the OBD bracket. The dealer can then plug his Diagnostic PC into the OBD plug in the usual place - but make sure you unplug the Scanguage display before visiting the Dealer.
It means there is an OBD socket in the usual place and the Fuse cover closes properly. Simples LANDYWATCH
