A guy on another forum has replaced his bonnet with a fibreglass one to cut down on weight |

Hmm.... Puma bonnets on ebay.... always shouts out 'Dodgy' but then the last thing anyone wants to do is screw up a genuine persons sale, no matter how crap the advert might be....
Red one My whoddaddy sold a puma bonnet in October 2010 according to his sales history, so he's one helluva indecisive chap then as he sold a Td5 bonnet in April 2011 .... blimey....'don't like the bulge', 'like the bulge', 'don't like the bulge'. Green one No piccy of the bonnet itself, just a stock photo of a Galway Green PUMA, that's been taken off the LRUK website by the looks of the workshop colours. Also his sales history has no mention of any other LR bits and bobs. So how the hell do you come to acquire a Defender bonnet when you mostly buy/sell video games ? Maybe there are genuine reasons for sale on both of them , and if so then happy days but will send both over to the Police AVCIS contacts and let them take it from there.... Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Definitely not driving round in the UK without secure bonnet hinges
Incidentally, mightn't the "brand new" bonnet just have come off someone elses "brand new" defender? Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Good idea, didn't know you could get them, it all helps to off set ABS, TC, winches, bumpers, spare wheel carriers, tow hitches, roof racks etc, even Safari Equip bumperettes weigh a ton I expect most are carrying the extra equivalent weight of around of 2-3 adults |

...you forgot chequerplate
I saw a fibreglass one on a supplier's website but it was somewhat "improved" in design (too fancy). I'll see if I can find the link... Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

It might also be off of a write off. BUT That would be dealt with by a company or dealership I would have thought. Not Ebay..... Also I guess there would be the odd occasion where some one may upgrade their bonnet. I have seen a Puma bonnet but one with an air vent in it of which the name of I can't remember.
