If you buy stuff from ebay then what you need is a sniper robot. I been using one for 8 years now and its awsome. It is a little program that runs on your computer (you have to leave your computer on)that will place your maximum bid 3 seconds before the auction ends. This means no-one can outbid you manually, they have to have put a higher bid in already.
I've won loads of items using it and paid much less than otherwise. There are a few of these outthere but I use one called Auctionsentry. You can get a free 10 day trial with it to test as well. Just be a bit careful looking for these types of software as some are scams that steal your ebay ID. I'm not affiliated with them in anyway at all, just thought I'd post it up as its a dead handy tool. Pom |

I use this site which does the same thing, but you don't need to leave a computer running: https://www.ezsniper.com/
I bought a merrytiller and an Ifor Williams trailer without being outbid and not spending too much - prevents others outbidding you, but (and probably more importantly) it stops me from increasing my bid and paying too much! |

If you put your max bid in as early as possible using ebay it beats sniping tools everytime. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Unless another person puts their max bid in as early as possible as well in which case you end up paying more Pom |

I am using this www.gixen.com since a couple of years and it works very well. The standard version (what i use) is free but it has a snipe time of 10s. Otherwise you can pay 6 USD/year and have shorter times (3 or 6s) and other features.

I use www.auctionstealer.com
3 free snipes per week (about 10 second buffer) and when I really want something expensive I pay a few Euros for "premium service" and they get it in 3 seconds before the end. It's always been good enough for me but I'll try some others now Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

In Norway, ebay is banned but they have their own version very similar except .. is anyone bids within 30 (i think) seconds of the end time, it is extended for another minute, they don't have sniping programs there.
good or bad - people only pay what they are prepared to pay - different approach |
