You can use a powered sub (Alpine and Kenwood do them among others), the input is picked up from the speaker outs for the front or rear speakers

As Matt says above, speaker level line in to the Sub / Amp.
You'd also have to take your 12v remote turn on from an ignition switched live too because the HU won't have that output. There is ignition wiring there for the HU though anyway but double check it or you could end up wiring it to a permanent live. Putting it permanently on.$W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
