1990 Defender 90 200 Tdi HT Coniston Green

frost's windscreen sealant

zag does the sealant stay tacky or does it dry,its just i sealed my screen yesterday and its still soft hope its not the cold weather thats affecting it,also dinitroled my capping and went a bit over the top lol the wife went out the following day came back and i found cavity wax running down all the side panels lol so then spent 2 hours cleaning it.

It stays soft for a while, you can squeeze it out by pushing the rubber.

Ok good, was worried after i sealed it the temperature outside dropped well below freezing.

Yes, this is the stuff you want as it does stay flexible where not exposed

Old style window rubbers shrink a bit under sunlight (and can crack eventually!) and the whole frame can flex depending on the car and application so this is why using the stuff that doesn't dry out is what to use rather than rock hard cement glues used in modern motors which you need as the window is a structural part of most modern vehicles
