Before I got my rear cage I was going to fit one on the rear roof, just above the gutter. This will be useless of course if you are keeping the rear hood on !
The LED worklight Brendan sells would be ideal for this location as it has twin mounting bolts. If you fix into the roof I would suggest an internal plate as well to spread the load. If you are keeping the rear hood on I can't really think of a location that would take the light. Hi Bob
Cheers for that. It is my intention to keep the hood. I have tried to source the instructions for fixing but they are not on Topix! In my simple mind, I have an idea of fixing a metal flange plate to one of the rear vertical sticks, to be flush sitting with the vertical drop of the back of the hood and this to have a hole in so the light could fix through the hood, into the plate and fixing ring on back. Of course, this all depends on power source and switching arrangements hence my search for the instructions. If anyone has them... I'd love a scan & email copy! |

If you have not yet purchased the light would agree with what Bob has said above. Don't get the land rover light as is cack, get the one Brendan sells. Just removed my land rover one, dim, big, rusting, and uses loads of power, Brendan's is like day and night in comparison.
