Traction control Twang
When I lose traction most of the time I get a twanging noise from under the bonnet, similar to the flicking a ruler on the side of a desk, there is a similar thread on this but doesn't seem to be quite the same scenario and didn't really answer my questions. Online there is a mention of it on Landyzone forum but the advise is to put up with it and worry about it if something breaks.

Just trying to understand if there is something loose or is this normal? Can't imagine it being a particularly good selling point if it is a standard noise when things get hairy.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated ===================================

My D2 does it too. Not heard it as loud on other trucks though. Something in the ABS block?

I have this to, we have taken it to multiple dealers and they say its the vehicle trying to find traction. Not sure if its true but it has never broke anything.

Same on mine. When I did the LR Experience a few years back their 110's did it as well.

Nothing to worry about.

Thanks all for the clarification, old defender didnt do that, but the. Again never had traction control so was a new experience having a sudden twanging noise.....being a defender I instantly thought the worst Rolling with laughter ===================================
