Like Landyash, scanned ebay for ages for a heated windscreen. Wanted it when we were rebuilding my 90.
In the end, bought new. We already had all the wiring as we rebuilt it will a 2nd hand td5 loom which had the relevant bits. Just needed the screen and someone to fit it. Looked out the receipt earlier and it was £245 supplied and fitted.
Needless to say it went on the mods list to my insurance company, so minus a hefty excess, shouldn't have to pay that much again if I break it!
Mind you, last time we broke a Defender windscreen was in the Outback. A tree that look dead and would break wasn't and didn't! Oops. Cracked rather than shattered so we patched it with tank tape until we got back to somewhere we could get a new one ordered and delivered. Tank tape worked quite well until the big Road Trains passed on the other side of the road - the massive draft made the whole thing bow inwards rather alarmingly!
