Why genuine - just make the loom yourself, much more flexible Mike

thanks to those that have responded
I want the plug for the back of the switch more than anything but would prefer the whole loom if anyone has one or knows where I can get one without spending £300 on an LR lighting kit from a dealer DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Fully understand the desirably of a genuine loom, even though it a simple loom
Sure Land Rover do, or they certainly did supply the loom separately, as i had one 2004/5 for mine, and has been removed and refitted in all the defenders since !! thought they were £60 odd, but what they are now, if still available ?? What you need is STC 53208 priced at about £135 from the dealers. It includes the loom and fascia switch.

Just had a quick look to see if i had it on file ?? but don't look like it
Sorry Rob but only a quick reply, to hopefully get you started !! Its not that hard, when you have done it a few times Mine was originally off a TD5, but sure they are all the same (now on the 4the Puma !!? I split the loom into 3 direction in the engine bay near the grommet mentioned below, 2 lamps leads forward, the blue lead and the switch lead through the bulkhead, the power and relay lead down and back to the battery box The blue lead goes up behind the dash to the main beam feed (blue) The lead with the multi plug also goes that way to the centre console, as the main on/off switch (mine in the spare hole next to the screen heater You need to pass the loom through the bulkhead, mine is in the grommet near to the passenger foot well, access thought that lower removable panel,, I started from the front and worked backwards, you will have the relay etc after a black plastic nut etc, this part of the loom goes down the bulkhead, and under the car to the battery box, (take the spade terminal out of the relay socket) California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |
