it's the people who make it special ... what a great time Russ and I had.

Saturday night camping at Epsom where it actually froze over night - scraping frost off the airtop roof tent this morning Evil or Very Mad - I actually slept with my roof tent doors open in my Swedish 4 season bag (in training Shocked )

General discussions included - insect repellent, She-Wee's, He-Wee's Rolling with laughter , a cracking glass molding competition ... then it was all blurred ...

Great to meet up with Nige/Jo - the landlords, Special Guest Andy AKA "The Green-Shadow" from Germany (no towels jokes please), Ade, Honker (on form as usual!), Yobbie(& MrsYobbie), JSG, SparkyLee and certainly not forgetting the king of all things "White" - Killer with his low-rise 90.

Funny how peeps in Italian cars think they can join in on the London to Brighton run ... soon got past this one

Apart from the overnight frost, the weather was great and the defender2.net team got a great space on Marina Drive.

I've got some Stainless Steel Protex fastners coming for you Steve I can either drop them off to you next weekend (I'll probably go to Zen) or at the trip to Salisbury Plains as long as it isn't scratchy Thumbs Up

Yes pity we didn't say hi, but must admitt I was looking for someone with curly hair, caterpillar as a moustache, white suit, drain pipe trousers, pointed shoes and a trade stand set up behind his Defender Very Happy

You seemed a bit busy most of the day wheeling and dealing, but no doubt we'll catch up at the next get together, like your steering wheel btw Thumbs Up 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

An evening of nearly Michelin star cuisine, fine wine and cheeses, delightful background music accompanied by wonderful conversation....probably occured somewhere else.

We however had a more entertaining evening. The graphic description of she wees, what an alien abduction would look like re enacted using led lights, banter with an axe wielding German, Bpmans passion for drum n bass, how to light a fire with a technique to make ray mears weep, the big debate ...to take 4 or 5 pairs of pants for a 17 day holiday, at what temperature does make up freeze etc...

A great night, many thanks to all, had an excellent weekend with fabulous company Bow down

Btw, there was also a lot of land rovers. Which was nice.

Stu

Led bumpers not even mentioned Rolling with laughter You should have not been such a lightweight and got your tent out Mr. Green . I think we did have a little demonstration of Led lights in the night though (most of the campsite in Bp's case) Thumbs Up

I have to agree with everyone else I had great weekend, great company and great food, I was originally planning on grabbing something to eat from the van, but was inundated with offers and it seemed rude to refuse Laughing thanks guys Thumbs Up

It was great to meet you all, great evenings entertainment round the fire, once the fire eventually got started that is Whistle

I have to say Andy our new found friend from the Fatherland was a highly entertaining addition to the weekend.

Looking forward catching up with you all again sometime in the near future.
