New 90 tdci SIDE LAMP PROBLEM.
Keeps blowing the fuse on the passengers side, any clues ?

Think it could be a trapped wire but thought I would ask just in case someone has been there already.

Still blowing the fuse with all the bulbs out on the passengers side.

Any help most appreciated. Andy.

Thanks gents, I will take a look in the morning.

It only affects the passengers side lights, number plate lamp and the speedo lights.

It's only done 130 miles so probably about right for L/Rover electrics. Rolling Eyes Andy.

Well spot on that man, but this was a fault in the loom where the speaker had been bolted down . Bow down

I will advise other owners to check the number plate lamp as mine had had a small fire behind the passengers side rear speaker box (standard factory), O.K. this is a fused lamp but why ?

We are repairing this ourselves to save the pain of loosing it to the dealer for days, we have had to replace the number plate lamp as well because it was melted. Shocked Andy.

The RDX version from Bolt on Bits is a straight replacement apart from connecting the wires which is easily done. Whistle LANDYWATCH

Not quite sure why I would want to fit an LED number plate lamp, Rolling Eyes Or am I missing something. Exclamation

We have just replaced the number plate lamp with one from our stock and all is well. Thumbs Up Andy.

Didn't spot this when you posted it. Mine also did this. Recommend getting one of those led replacements.

Because they seem better made. I know they are a bit chavy but they don't set fire to your truck.
