Would it worth asking LR for a contribution towards the repairs.......dropping a tappet at that type of mileage is wholly unacceptable. Current...07 90 Puma commercial

Tappet broken after 70.000 is quite unusual for a PUMA engine. Do you have the old part and does it show some hint towards fabrication faulty? I would contact LR on that and maybe even send the part to them for quality inspection. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel.
