The alarm system seems to be playing up, it won’t recognise either of the two key fobs, and hence the alarm goes off and it won’t start. I found that the rear doors were unlocked, but the front ones were locked. Everything was working yesterday. Any ideas?

Have you tried new batteries in the fobs ?
Best to eliminate the simple things first. Bob |

Just in case, I'll change the batteries tomorrow but, there are the three plips that should be there and the events history is empty.

Changed the battery in a plip. No difference.
Entered the EKA code without success. Any advice as to what to do next? Merlin |

Peter, can you email me the settings pages 1 and 2 so that I can rule out an issue with the previous fault/repair you had on the 10AS.
Also did you carry out a plip re-sync? Press the lock button on the fob for 2 seconds and release for one second and repeat x3 times so you do it 4 times ( the default setting for this on Puma 10AS modules I have looked at is 4). Then hopefully if they were out of sync the Puma should lock on the fifth press. Sometimes the fobs can become out of sync with the 10AS and there is a bit of leeway that is/can be programmed into the 10AS. The plips use a rolling code to help stop the plip being cloned and this code can sometimes be out of sync with the stored values within the 10AS. If this does not work then within the nanocoms 10AS settings page there is an option for the 10AS to accept any RF signal from any plip to operate the CDL/Alarm as a test. Enable this and try all three plips to check to see that the 10AS is actually listening for these signals. It would show that the plips were transmitting and that the 10AS could hear them. Try all of the above first and let me know the results on here or by email and we will take it from there. Click image to enlarge Brian. |
