Anyone had any experience of a 2.5 N/A mazda diesel engine conversion in a defender?

Not in a Defender but if it is the same 2.5 fitted to the Mazda vans I have seen one do a hundred thousand miles without a single service?

I worked in an outdoor centre that used one to carry kit everyday and then do long trips up to Scotland and out to Norway several times a year and it never failed.

It was even filled up with petrol and run until it stopped, they drained the fuel out and flushed the fuel pump and it started straight away afterwards.

When it eventually went in for a service to Mazda at 100K the mechanic took photo's of it to show Mazda, as he couldn't believe how well it had survived, it went on to do another 70k until the van around it rusted away.
