Wife is determined to have "goose-in-turkey" for Christmas (thank you bloody Hugh Fearnley Pis*ingstall). As expected, she is blackmailing me to "make it so" (using Defender mods as leverage). So I need to take all the bones out of this turkey...
I practised boning a chicken last night (not too bad) using instructions from the internet but they involved cutting up the spine, so it has to be sewn/scuewered (how the do you spell that?) for cooking afterwards I am "expected" to bone it leaving the skin intact - my first attempt on the next chicken is a disaster I've taken humans to pieces before now (don't creep out - medical school) but this is much harder Has anyone been mad enough to try this? Can you give me any tips? Cheers Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

waiting for first comment Its a relatively straight forward job though if you take your time with a small pointed sharp knife (or maybe a scalpel if you have some left. My Mrs did it last year DJ 1989 200tdi 90 csw 2011 110 usw Orkney grey Buy British 🇬🇧 Defender Clothing Designs available at http://www.rangesports.com/acatalog/Defender-Stuff.html |

I'll ask her but...
I seem to remember some peeling back of skin and sewing up was done so you're probably on the right lines try here http://homecooking.about.com/od/turkeyreci...keysbs.htm Good luck with it, could to be worth it in the end (always worth a trip to Lidls and get a 3 bird roast from the freezer dept though, just in case it goes wrong!)
