Exactly the same issue with my TD5 110 after fitting a recon gearbox with the V8 5th gear ratio. I fitted a speedo healer and it's been faultless since then. A bit more info here:

Just for my knowledge.
Speedo healer but not used to adjust the speedo. So what role is it used in here ? Presumably a 1.2box gives wrong output speed to a cruise unit and this adjist it?

The TD5 ECU expects a certain ratio of revs to road speed for cruise control to engage, which is based on a 1.4 transfer box.

I would imagine that your speedo healer has 4 wires : positive, negative power feeds, a wire that goes 'in' for the speedo input, and one that comes 'out' for the altered speedo signal.

| I wouldn't put the healer on the speedo feed as your speedo will read slow I better to connect it at the ECU speed input . |

I put my speedo healer with the engine ecu, I have on overdrive so fitted a 5pin relay to switch the speed signal going direct to the ecu or via the speedo healer.
