	VCV would be my bet. Had to replace mine the other day with similar symptoms. Easy to do if you have a couple of 3/8 socket sets. Need to extensions and ujs.

	Thinking vcv like you now as it is around the 2000 rpm only with little load on the engine. Doesn’t do it when pulling or sat stationary.

	Quiet and runs smoothly. No lights on the dash. Seemed a little down on power but not much. Maybe just in my head. Definitely smoked though! Will check pipe work at weekend.

	I have also had the back of the contacts on the dashboard switch for the window get damaged. Easy enough to pull the switch out and check the contacts.
