afair that plug is not connected by default

On mine it is white, so i'm not 100% sure it is the same (disregard the red circle, the pic had a different purpose Very Happy )

that's what locks the seat down and provides support.

It's probably blocked.
Check it from the inside, there is a locking mechanism on the handle, it looks like a tiny lever Smile

The connector is a Sumitomo HM series but the terminals are universal between the MT/HW and HM series.

The inserts look very similar to Econoseal ones (as does the seal)

Yep, they're so similar I thought I could use those I have, but they are a bit smaller than the original.
