Apologies to the experienced and knowledgeable of you - dumb questions - I've psyched myself up to ave a go at serviceing and ask what is your advice on service kits and best place(s) to buy? Places to avoid? Land rover genuine parts or other? |

age of vehicle plus your normal driving conditions?
Motorway driving? Or dunking it in 3' of water every other day? Reason why I ask, the 'harsher' the driving the more I would reduce service intervals etc. Brendan |

Thanks for replies.
Puma 110 and mainly motorway driving with occasional mud splashing and veh just over 3yrs old. |

Steve, keep to prescribed service intervals.
How long do you intend keeping vehicle? If only a year or so I would use a indy LR garage If long term where stamped service history becomes less relevant I would use a box file + note book diary where every receipt was kept. Genuine/OEM/generic? Get friendly with the local storeman at your indy/main dealer. Our local storeman will tell people of out of warranty vehicles if they would use only genuine parts, OEM or generic. USE his experience. IF it is SAFETY CRITICAL, i.e. brakes pad I would use genuine or OEM and forget cheap generic items. Brendan |
