Heated Windscreen Switch = No Light
Hi all

Having a nightmare troubleshooting this issue.

Car has ignition on but when I press the heated windscreen, I do not get a light on the switch.

I have also moved the relays about to try and troubleshoot under the steering wheel and the relays look to be working.

Any ideas on what to next try?

Thanks
Nick.

I suspect you need the engine running, relay will take alternator voltage signal. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper

I believe it only works with the engine running. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

As above, the HFW requires the engine to be running in order to work. The is.an "engine running" signal from the IPAC which is used for this purpose (which if I remember is actually dependent upon the alternator providing an output which means the engine is running).

Start your engine and repeat your test, let s know how you get on.

No. Nothing when the button is pressed. Switched the relays around as well to test and nothing

The switch light (AKA tell tail) is wired to the timer, so if the timer is duff you will not get a light oin the switch, the realy may still work but the timer may not be actuating!
