Puma Aircon Water/Condensation

I recently had the aircon gassed on my 2010 110 Puma as it has never worked since being in my ownership. It seems to have done the trick and now gets nice and cold, however, when I parked today I noticed a lot of water to under the car. It seems to be coming from above the gearbox, is this normal or should it be evaporating away?

That’s a relief to hear..! It does seem like a lot which is a bit odd, I wondered if it should have been evaporating more or something.

When I got my defender last year i had exactly the same worry.

They do seem to generate more water than my previous cars. But it's entirely normal (for a defender). I can only assume the drying function is very efficient.

Perfectly normal. My AC is always on recycle air.. I do not know if that reduces the condensate as it recycles already dried air.

JLR took the easy route, and just drain it on the gearbox. Perhaps it helps to cool the gearbox

The way it runs over the gearbox & drips off the chassis, you’d think it was a problem, rather than by design.
