Yes, whilst they can reduce the off road capability, their main purpose is to improve on road stability. If your landy is going to be primarily a road car and non-aggressive off roading, it may be worthwhile fitting them. |

Which ARB's would be the best to aid on road stability ?
Was thinking of the kits Paddocks do but I've had bad experiences with Britpart stuff before. |

The anti roll bar broke on our 300 TDi so was removed and never replaced. That was about 5 years ago.
Our 09 plate TDCi USW has anti roll bar in place. I have never really noticed a difference between the two vehicles in handling. There again I do not throw the 110's into the corners. It has been commented that the body moves more on the 300 TDi by people following me. I am not rushing into replacing the ARB on the 300TDi, well it has been 5 years+ Brendan PS No problems with MOTs either! |

The ARBs have'nt stopped me so far, been told i sometimes have a corner off the ground but the traction control and diff lock has done it's stuff without drama, even on slippery gloopy surfaces

I fitted genuine front and rear ARB's to mine a couple of years ago, amazing difference in stability on the highway. Far less body roll. Wouldnt go back on non fitment again
![]() Still greenlane as much [and enthusiasticly] as i never did, not caused me any problem so far ![]() |

I have a TD5 without any ARB's.

Thanks, but it seems to be a 50/50 split!
My landy is a little top heavy at the moment whilst fitted with a roof-rack. However, I am planning to line the back with ply to improve insulation. Are genuine ARB better than other makes? Cheers ![]() |

Basic rule is to keep weight as low as possible and preferably between axles.
Insulation? Close cell foam is probably a better insulator and also lighter then plywood. Brendan |
