LAND ROVER DEFENDER CHANGING PLANS DUE TO TECH PROBLEMS
Hi guys! The first day we had a technical problem: suddently we lost traction and we realised that our rear drive-shaft had just broken, that meant that we had to connect the block diff to continue driving. So we changed our plans and decided not to do the offroad route that we had prepared. We hadn't planned this new route, but it was ok, because we like to discover places and we found lots to discover on the route. In this video we show you the scenic Silent Route which starts in Ejulve (Teruel) and finishes in Cantavieja (Aragón). On the way we see the amazing mountain formations Organos de Montoro. The Organos de Montoro are impressive calcareous needles over 200 meters high, attached to the mountain. To understand the reason for these curious formations, we must go back to the Cretaceous age, the time in which they originated.
Later we see the abandoned thermal power plant of Aliaga. We find a hole to go inside. This power plant stopped working in 1982.
And we show you the beautiful village of Villaroya de los Pinares in Aragón. In this beautiful village starts the "Camino de los Pilones" which is a historic highlands path, a section of an old Royal Road between Teruel and the towns of the Levant, by the Turolense Maestrazgo.
It is a very curious itinerary because it is dotted with more than a hundred stone pylons, built in the 18th century, which were used to orient oneself during the snowy season and between the frequent mists at this altitude. The road has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC). It is also known as the Camino de Jaime I because there is evidence that this king traveled it on some occasions marching towards the conquest of Valencia.

The second day we tried to do the offroad track that we had prepared, which starts in Teruel, goes into Guadalajara and finishes in Jaraba. In our next video you will discover if we manage to do it or not.

We haven't uploaded the wikiloc track yet because we are still editing the track.
We hope you like this video and that you see the second part, which is offroad and which we did with just the front diff.

Good stuff Mr & Mrs A. I love the power station and the soundtrack you put to it. It would make an excellent film location.
