Is some lowlife trying to steal it?
2011 model 2.4 Puma 110 XS

Three times over the past 4 days, in locations up to 150 miles apart, the alarm has sounded randomly from 2 mins. to 4 hours after locking the vehicle. That's 3 times out of around 10 "lockings"

In each case the Puma had unlocked itself causing(?) the alarm to sound.

Anyone else had this? If so was it an alarm fault or something more sinister?

Please PM if you are not comfortable with discussing this openly.

Thanks

I had a lazy drivers door actuator years ago that would unlock the car and sound the alarm.

Thanks I'll check it. Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

Took me ages to find it. Would always do it when I was not about. New unit sorted it

Is it just unlocking or is the dashboard also lighting up like a Christmas tree? If so it could be a faulty earth. There's a large earth cable located on the passenger side down by the gearbox. Sometimes if you've been through lots of water it can play up. Mine just needs a wiggle and it solved the problem.
