Just out of curiosity, has anyone specced a D200 HT and SW side by side? Tried going as basic as I could and with the SW £800 more (but with a lot more kit as standard), the PCP works out at nearly £130 MORE for the HT as it's showing terrible (£21k for the SW vs £13k for the HT) residuals at 4 years.

I genuinely want the 90 HT for work but it's almost like LR don't want to sell them. I know I can get the VAT back but still, limiting the options on the vehicle and making it worse value than a higher specced model makes it look like they don't want anyone buying them.

Like J77, I loved the look of the Tasman Blue, white roof and steelies, and ordered mine before Commercial Variants were announced. 90's were also not able to be ordered then.

When picking up my 110 I was chatting about the 90's and Commercial Variant's pricing. Salesman was very sheepish, and basically said that they were only a few $k's less than the base 110's and once you take the basic car and add to it the creature comforts that most people will still spec (Air Suspension for example) that the price was as near as damn it the same. (he was actually embarrased to admit!)
But this is Oz, UK pricing may differ and I am out of touch with the tax / allowances over there now.

However you look at it, it's an expensive vehicle, but look at the (real) competitor's products, they are up there too.
This may not help many of you (or any of you) but I found that the large company that I work for was on the list of JLR corporate partners, and after digging around got a great deal on my 110. Included was a small discount on the price, Free Carpet Mats (good ones) 5 yrs free corporate servicing (which actually probably accounts for one, or possibly two oil changes in reality!) plus 5 yrs free roadside assistance. Finding the list was far from intuative but it exists in the JLR website and anyone working an organisation on that list might just benefit.
I thought I had saved a copy, but can't find it at the moment. Will dig it out and try to link somehow.

And in case anyone is wondering, it made absolutely no difference to timing of the build slot.

Oh and I bought it personally, too... and as long as I could prove employment got the benefits. But they don't advertise this scheme widely for obvious reasons !
