Intercooler hose or intercooler. Check for hose come off or hole by steering column.

I did think that but assume it would be worse under load when turbo working hard??? Hold my beer and watch this!

Yes, I would have thought so, but worth a check.
It does appear odd, and only other thing I can think of is the VCV as it must me over fuelling during light throttle. Runs ok the rest of the time? Quiet? |

Quiet and runs smoothly. No lights on the dash.
Seemed a little down on power but not much. Maybe just in my head. Definitely smoked though! Will check pipe work at weekend. Hold my beer and watch this! |

Thinking vcv like you now as it is around the 2000 rpm only with little load on the engine. Doesn’t do it when pulling or sat stationary. Hold my beer and watch this!
