Black checker plate
Morning chaps , I have the black checker plate on my 2010 XS USW , and wondering if this was from new from landrover or been fitted after ? , it’s been fitted and sealed so well , or was this a optional extra with a model name ?

I would say that it was fitted by a previous owner. It's probably mammoth, which supplied Land rover with their stock.

... and if it was fitted and sealed well, the factory didn't do it.

I *believe* mine was factory fitted and the same panel runs parallel with the wing joint -

I don't think chequer plate was offered by JLR for the bonnet?

It’s odd as it’s been fitted and spayed to a perfect finish of the black and grey

I’m not complaining about it as it’s such a good job , but interested as it’s like a factory finish Thumbs Up

Factory finish (actually dealer fit I think) is black anodised rather than paint.
Everything is looking like aftermarket fitment.
