Here is a closer picture .
Now I’m in the daylight I can see that there’s clearly damage to the inside of the swivelS half shaft housing , hard to see on the pic but one side appears to have built up with molten metal ! To add some history to this , I had a bent axle which has been replaced but I’d didn’t change driveshafts or swivel . Clearly I should have . spend more time on it to save a CV by beating out the shaft which as its US anyway you may as well cut it off to give a short section to beat out.
on the plus side shafts make good improvised chisels! or render it all US, save yourself the time and buy new CV, shaft and swivel. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |
