Pressing the bronze Bush onto the stub you mean and now on assembly the cv doesn't stick out of the stub far enough?
If so take stub off, reseat shaft/cv and go again Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

I’ve had this with poor quality aftermarket bronze bushes, the CV doesn’t fit into them properly once they’re fitted into the stub axle.

Normal engineering practice with bushes of this type is to reamer them to size after fitting, but this shouldn't be necessary in this application.

Hi
What I found strange was when removing the old bush from the old stub axle it then didn't fit the cv shaft it was originally fitted to. |
