I finally found a good spot for it. It's nicely out of the way.

It's an Allbrecht AE 6110:
http://www.4x4cb.com/public/item.cfm?itemID=1175 I've actually just had to clean my aerial mounting points because the SWR reading had gone from just over 1 (very good) to nearly the top of the scale (not good). |

Anyone have one of these? Do you have to cut the roof lining to fit it? Thanks |

Few more questions for you....
It seems you have to install the console first, then place the roof lining over the top of it... then put the trim around it. How did you get the measure, nets of where to cut, or did you take them after the unit was installed? Any issues once it was installed, rattling etc? A good mod for you? Thanks |

Hi,
Could this simply replace where the sunroof would be on an XS model? Thanks Mark |

yes, seen those in person, but, not for me... bought a Corsetti, just need to sort out the installation, which looks kind of straight forward, measure five times, cut once
My CB is in the cubby box, this is much neater up high and out of the way. Looked at the outback ARB, but that is just a large lump of plastic bolted to the roof, and you have to cut the visors, not a big deal. |

It's correct ! …… but 1° Remove the roof lining 2° Remove the central metal reinforcement under the roof 3° Install the console 4° With the console frame on the roof lining, mark the position of the console 5° Cut the roof lining around the sign of the console position 6° Place the roof lining over the top of it 7° Put the trim around the console
The electric wirings , and the CB antenna run under the side cover of the windscreen and under the roof lining
No . No problem for my console . For me it's a good console ! It is not very fast to fit . Marco Defender 110 "SW" SE Galway Green MY 2009 Ex Defender 90 "SW" S Santorini Black MY 2010 |
