Coolant woes!
So, on top of my ABS problems I now have a coolant problem. It is being pushed out of the cap and the heater valve. I had a new heater valve fitted a few months ago because it was leaking but now it’s much worse and coming from the cap which again was replaced. I’m guessing something is pressurising it. I have no overheating, the gauge remains steady at half way, no problem starting, runs fine pulls ok, there is a slight stutter if I over rev before changing gear but that could be to do with the map. I read on another thread that the egr cooler could be a cause of a pressurised system, any other thoughts gratefully received.

there is more than one cap check you have the right one also is the thermostat working correctly if slow to open that could cause pressure in the system good luck

Definitely have the right cap, had several over the years! I think I’ll give the thermostat a try before going to the indy.
Thanks.

So, I’ve changed the thermostat and things seem ok so far. The temperature gauge comes up so much quicker than before and no expulsion of water yet! However, the bottom hose is still cold even after a run, is that normal?
