Defender 2009 tdci alarm problem

Hi everybody!

I'm having some problems with my alarm of the 110 svx 2009.

Sometimes the electrics cut out completely after shutting down or when trying to start. When this happens only the high pitch alarm works and further no red light, no power when turning key, even hazard lights wont go.
Just a DEAD defender

Battery is new as is the key battery. 9/10 times there is no problem but sometimes it gets its own life

Somebody got somthing similar?

So only bbus is sounding?

The only thing you've changed recently is the battery?

Everything else dead sounds like no power.

Check +ve connection from battery over to fusebox under the other seat. Have you run your own internal +ve lead or are you using the original running between the two seat boxes?

Check -ve connection from battery to chasis, and then to gearbox - you can get corrosion in negative lead where it connects to chasis.
