Whatever it is, I'm positive it has nothing to do with me driving it!

someone mentioned there's a gauze on the bosch ve pump and this can get clogged, but not many people know about it.
I think he said it's on the inlet or something, might be worth having a look. |

UPDATE
With all of your help i have sorted this problem out now and Millie has not coughed since ( touching the table and saying, touch wood ![]() On the Friday just gone after work i went around to my store, i had to doing a little job there first ![]() ![]() This is a pic of what i am trying to explain as i didn't take any pic's ......... ![]() Click image to enlarge So i cleaned up the male spade end and what goes on top of the stop solenoid and then cleaned up the female end and crimped it up a bit and i have a good fit now, so once altogether, i have cable tied the wire to the throttle cable bracket so it does not come apart hopefully again ![]() Does anyone else have this set up as i thought the wire would go straight on to the stop solenoid ![]() I'm thinking now that Millie is going much better now as this could of been going on, but not coughing and causing the stop solenoid plunger to restrict the flow of diesel to the injector pump ![]() Thank you again to you all ![]() 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Result, well done.
![]() Was the nut loose or was it just the female connector to male? Is there a reason why it has that set up perhaps to stand-off? Or otherwise why wouldn't a ring terminal direct to the solenoid threadeded post be much better removing a failiure point. Maybe they're isn't room perhaps. It was the female connector to the male spade that was loose
![]() The only reason i can see for this method is that when the injector pump is taken out, you just have to pull the live wire from the male spade, no fiddling with the small nut ![]() 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. |
