For the safety devices external cage:
On average you are looking at about £1400-1600 +VAT for the cage. Fitting is anything from £1500-2000 + VAT. Can you fit it.... it will take about 5-7 days if you have the tools and a helping hand for some of the heavier parts of the procedure. Then you will have something that looks like this: Click image to enlarge Glyn :sheep: Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

I just installed a SD cage on my 110 SW. The job takes about 15-20 hours if you know what you're doing. Add a lot of time to that if you've never put a cage on a Defender before. Its definitely a case of measure 5-6 times and drill/cut once. Even then there is a lot of fiddling because the thing has to fit together just right, or you have a roll cage that fits like crap and potentially a lot of ugly holes in your body.
There are just so many little things that have to be removed and reinstalled that the time really adds up. |

Protection and Performance must be worth a look. Very high quality, which kind of matters with a cage! Can be custom tweaked to your exact requirements too.
