It's currently in design, I can't wait!
So that one has obviously been over in the States and come back... What's the story? |

Today i fitted the lower rollbar - split version so easier to remove withbody on in the future....when it corrodes!
Hopefully after a good dose of Buzzweld CIO inside and copious amounts of copper slop it wont tooquickly 🤔👍 Click image to enlarge |

Time for an update me thinks
Lots of pics Tank in situ Click image to enlarge Genuine 50th Anniversary 90 Rear Chassis loom fitted ...(for info its long enough to fit a 110 too) Click image to enlarge Plugs straight into tank pump unit....plug n play well until I wire up the engine... Fuel pipes from Rovers North fitted - this and brake pipes were done before loom was fitted to save drilling any wires Click image to enlarge Plugs I need to get females for at engine bay Click image to enlarge Exhaust manifolds re-studded and fitted with new bolts Click image to enlarge Using original Y section, but due to rear section beingunavaslable, I came across a mid pipe and rear section made Double S I think which a 50th owner had removed for an engine upgrade. It's bolted up ready for when the turn of ignition key starts the engine.......but have an issue at mounting rear of transmission ...... Click image to enlarge ...and also potential fouling under a-frame, having got the correct mounting from YRM Click image to enlarge Footwells coated in wax oil. Clutch mounting point blanked off with a plate I made as couldn't locate official one I had stored safely months ago ! throttle pedal fitted with stainless bolts, copious copper grease and later the same of Sikaflex/Tigerseal Click image to enlarge Engine sump removed, cleaned, painted and re-fitted along with new copper compression washer for drain plug.....original was rather thin!! Click image to enlarge Rear tub loosely fitted on chassis - for ease of storage, having wax oiled it underneath. Click image to enlarge However due to tank having bloated in storage it sits a little too high at the moment..... will either lower tank guard or add sand bags to load floor to fix this but not yet as the rear chassis outer tabs are in need of a bit of persuasion backwards with a hide hammer as the centre tabs are a distance from the tub Click image to enlarge New transmission and engine cooler pipes fitted.....awaiting the expensive items to bolt them to.... Click image to enlarge Brake master cylinder fitted with pipes. Note loom with yellow label. This is the original transmission loom from soft dash RR.....another female plug required....13 pin if I'm not mistaken. Click image to enlarge Managed to get a genuine oil cooler at a more sensible price than going down Allisport route . Coil amp pack temporarily bolted to wing mount for first start before wings are fitted.....hopefully. Click image to enlarge Part numbers ESR68 and ESR69 were ordered from Hobsons before Christmas from their website only to get a refund email in New Year saying they weren't in stock......well ffs why make it look like they are These brackets would allow me to fix up the next costly item.... but now nobody has them, so have removed the ones in pic below from my 110 to have them 'copied'......had to remove A- bar and spots to get to the little bstd bolts.....who decided to fit a winch eh?! Oh for those clever people these are different to 300tdi ones....its a height thing partly Click image to enlarge After that bombshell Hobsons were able to supply the bracket for holding the cowling at the top of radiator in stock so I bought that and had it copied too. The radiator cowling is basically a Disco1 V8 cowl, but having been attacked by a hacksaw and die grinder....plus a couple of brackets pop riveted to the bottom. The part number I ordered from LR should have been like this but it wasn't. So JLR stock one part under 2 part numbers. I should have done more homework on this as I had read a 50th owners exact same troubles on the 50th forum........in the end I was more eager to move on the job than wait on people to see logic, so hacksaw and die grinder came to the fore......handy having my 110 to copy. Click image to enlarge Slam panel stripped painted and rebuilt. P/S pulley and W/P pulley removed and painted. New belt and tensioner fitted as the aircon pump has been removed......its a soft top in this country !! So I have a surplus compressor and tensioner from a 1994/5 RR/R Classic. Click image to enlarge Heater has also been removed. It had new matrix fitted and was resealed and painted, having wax oiled the footwell and sealed mounting points Click image to enlarge Now I am on with wiring the EFI loom to Td5 loom and 50th Rear loom..........could be a while Last edited by Romadog on 8th May 2019 5:17pm. In terms of radiator brackets there are alternatives, as fitted to earlier vehicles.
https://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?quer...PerPage=10 The other one is NRC4839 and Dingocroft are showing 1 in stock at £11.12 I have them fitted to mine V8 sadly cannot do pix, don't have the relevant lead to extract them from the camera, they are very different to the later type It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten |

oneten 110 those brackets are the earlier ones and I don't like them Sorry Greeni
Greeni - any more on this 3rd brake light bracket?? I have the ideal lamps for it, as originals are NLA. Click image to enlarge I do have access to one to copy, just its further south and haven't been that way for a while........ Last edited by Romadog on 6th Feb 2019 6:35pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Fair enough. You know that you can order NAS parts through your local dealer, so long as you have the part number. I got loads of NAS parts for my One_Ten through my then local dealer. https://www.usermanuals.tech/d/land-rover-...ver-manual It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten |
