I am pretty certain that our local branch is staffed entirely by former members of the KGB

They're the guys to trust!"

I wouldn't trust Kwik fit to change a bulb.
I second (third?) the recommendation of Challenger 4x4, I've had a few jobs done on various Landies by Paul and his crew when I lived at Farnborough a few years ago. Thumbs Up

Wouldn't trust them anywhere near anything I own.

They damaged the floorpan and sill on my e30 years ago by jacking it incorrectly and it had clearly slipped/moved on the jack.

I unfortunately did not spot the damage until I came to service the car a month or so later sadly so there was no way I could really contest it with them.

Just to give another couple of bad experiences using Kwikfit. My daughter took her car there for service and they wanted to fit two new front brake discs which weren’t worn out. Also they didn’t tighten the sump plug which fortunately I found (due to oil leaking on the drive) before it came out altogether.

A friend on mine also had the same problem with a loose sump plug after a Kwikfit service. Unfortunately this did come out whilst he was driving and the engine seized up (which they did pay for a replacement).

These were two different branches of Kwikfit so I am wondering if they have a company policy to leave engine sump plugs loose!!

I certainly wouldn’t take any vehicle there for anything mechanical. ------------------------------------------------
