I did this a couple of months ago, as the seals had quite large cracks in them.

This might be covered in the video, but three things I'll suggest:

1) when you fit the seal, push it well into the rounded 'corners' of the opening, then when you cut the seal, leave it 'long' so that you have to push it back to make it fit (easier to show than describe).

2) you'll likely need some silicone lube spray to get the glass eased into the seal, and some fairly firm pressure from the outside. I made sure the glass was 100% pushed up against one end of the opening, then persuaded it to fit at the other end
(edit - just remembered - I think I used a plastic tyre lever from a bicycle to help ease the outer lip of the seal over the glass, and then finally pushed it into place.)

3) 'belt and braces' - a few weeks later, once I reckoned the silicone lube had dried out, I used a bit of 'Capt Tollley's creeping crack cure' into the top of the seal, and let it work its way along/down. It's very fluid stuff when applied and runs a lot, but it follows any leaks and then dries hard to seal them. Donald

No bother - just seen your post on the Duckworth parts section. Hadn't thought your car would be so new. Mine is 1994... perhaps if your car is so much newer, the Capt Tolley's stuff might do the job by itself? Unless the seals are in a particularly bad way. Donald

The seals look really good with no cracks or signs of age or damage.
I might just give the tolleys stuff a try Thumbs Up 2023 Defender L663 V8

After having corrosion work around these windows done by the dealer, the passenger would get flooded when coming to a stop. It took a while to figure out that the water was coming in around the windows and then running down the inner gutter. The seals were new and could not see anything from the outside, it was only when looking from the inside that you could see that the seal had a gap, only about 1/2mm, where it joins. I filled it with Sika and no more soaked passengers.
Would recommend Capt. Tolley's, used it on the bulkhead foam seal and roof to windscreen frame. Still leak free after 6 odd months... Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
