2.4 service

I will be buying service items on Tuesday to service my car at home, I will also be changing the oil seal from the diff to the prop, I’ve looked around in the search for compatable oils etc, but they all seem to be for the 2.2.

If anyone can advise what oils and filters I need. Plus what the proper name for the seal is. It’s the front axle/diff.

I assume I need oil for,

Gear box
Transfer box
Engine
Front and rear diffs

Filters for oil and air, do we change the fuel filter? Or are they life time in the tank?

I do have air con, do we have a pollen filter?

And do I need any “special tools”

Gosh it worked!

The oil seal is the differential nose (pinion) seal.

If you do a search on here it will give you tips and hints etc.

That Bot130m stuff for the transmission is no longer available, the equivalent is Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle 75w90
For the transfer box you can use Castrol Syntrax Longlife 75w90
