Clutch Replacement - Anyone got Dealer/Indie Prices?
Hi all, so I have had a small leak around the little breather hole in the gearbox output shaft casing for a while. I'm fairly sure it's coming from here as this is the forward most point of the leak. Pictures are not much help for diagnosing leaks, but for future reference:

Last week it seemed to get worse, leaving a stain on the driveway. I checked the transfer box fluid level, being the easier of the two and found it to be correct. I suspect therefore it either hasn't leaked enough yet (I know it wasn't over filled) or it's the gearbox output shaft seal.

Now unfortunately I don't have the time or facilities right now to attempt this myself. I also have the clutch spring rattle along with a vibration when crawling at tick over in first gear which I guess is the same (not exhaust shield by the way). My biting point is also quite high.

I figured if I was going to pay someone to drop the transfer box to do the seal and check output shaft I may as well have the clutch done at the same time.

I was wondering if anyone could provide some ball park prices, dealer or otherwise, so I have a rough idea before I ring around? I did a search for clutch price but didn't get any with fitting included.

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon

I had my clutch done by an Indi last year. At the same time I got them to fit an Ashcroft shaft and replace the front oil seal on the gearbox.

The labour was about £350, I supplied the parts. But Genuine clutches are only about £300 for all the parts from a dealer.

Or if you want a heavy duty quality clutch have a look at LOF clutches, formerly Syncro clutches, ive got their ultra spec kevlar version in mine and its great! better than OE and very light pedal action Mr. Green 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

Derek Lynch at Old Romney - while the garage its self isn't a Land Rover Specialist, one of their mechanics is.
