Source of water leak and oil leak
Noticed the coolant has started going down on my td5 recently and whilst changing the oil noticed crystals here (lhs of engine above exhaust manifold)

Seems a strange place and can't really work out where it is coming from. I assume the fan has blown it backwards but from where? The nearest possible source is the plug in the head inbetween the exhaust ports. However there is no sign of the leak directly around this or below it.

Second issue is I noticed a lot of accumulated oil and goo above the canister oil filter sitting on top of the oil cooler block. Is this likely to be the gasket between the cooler and the oil filter housing or elsewhere?

Cheers
