![]() Your best bet would be to buy a local Ordinance Survey Map of the area you live in or you could use this website http://www.getamap.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk/. Once it loads click "Leisure" in the top left corner of the map ![]() Jack |

Only problem with that is that the map will not show what's open and what has a TRO. Best to join a club, or GLASS |

I agree with BigMike, an O/S map is just the starting point. If the lanes your planning on exploring are local then I would make an appointment with the Rights of Way dept of the local council and ask to view the definative map. The information on there should be up to date and you can then mark up your O/S map with current information. If your traveling some distance and visiting the council isn't practical, then I would recommend joining GLASS or CRAG and registering on this site http://www.trailwise.org.uk/index.php . Unless you've got a second vehicle to go with you and some recovery gear, a club would be the most advisable way to go.
