and left before I get close. The other was a red UK registered TDI with the newness just beginning to wear off, which seemed to be resident all week in the Basse Normandy village where the cottage is. There were at least three 110s on our Eurotunnel crossing home, and one other on the way out, so no shortage of Defenders still making the big trips.

Ah yes, Aire des Falaises de Widehem Ouest, always the first port of call to let the mutt stretch his legs after the tunnel. Has outstanding views of the coast from the top of the embankment. My second favourite aire after Baie de Somme. One gets quite familiar with these places when you combine a small bladder with making the same trip three or four times a year for the last 15 years! 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

Its rare to see much variation in cars in Europe these days, so nice to see even a small difference on a Defender. I used to love France as a kid, all the strange vehicles, especially commercials, that didn't appear at home. It actually seems to be going a bit in the reverse direction again, Renault seem to sell a lot of cars not sold in the UK now. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

Must say, really like them and if I got a 90 to add to the stable, it would be one if these, or at least make the hood upgrade. Then add a LS3

It’s a limited edition that was sold in France and Italy I believe, think it was called the No Limits 1997 Defender 90 300tdi
