Recomend me a Rear Cross Member
Mine is not in good condition and has a fair few patches on, and needed the patch from last years MOT was done again as it had failed.

Only had the vehicle 6months!

So I plan to get the bit together to do it. What are the recommended suppliers, plus is there any bits that I would be a fool not to do while doing the job.

I am guessing its tank off and tow kit off, that is about it.

You might need to hunt a bit, but Clive at Black Sheep Fabrications is the man to talk to...

Hunt on LandyZone for 'Pressbrake' - his cross members are really well made and good value...

Hi, The 'Black Sheep' ones are great but I heard they may have stopped producing them.

Failing that there is a bloke with a company called Dixon Fabrication that a couple of people have said that his HD crossmembers are very good too.- I have a set of his rocksliders that are very well made, but the powdercoat isn't the best.

Last I heard Clive had stopped doing them, and the Facebook page has vanished.

Having said that, last time I posted on here that he'd stopped, he popped up and proved me wrong!

It's a shame, I have one on mine, and it's a fantastic piece of kit. It's also quite simple though, so wouldn't be difficult for someone competent to fab up! I bought mine unpainted and had it fitted by a friend

I fitted a H/D Devon 4x4 one a few months back,

It's quite substantial, and can't see it rotting out for a whilst,
No mud traps in its design either,
It's the only one I have fitted, so can't compare it to others, but went ok and looks fine,

Hope that helps a bit Thumbs Up

Clive the "Black Sheep" has given up as of Jan 2017. Now desk bound.

Chatting with the people at RCP, toying with DIY or taking it to somewhere to have it done.
