Windscreen nozzle upgrade
My nozzle has fallen off..... Embarassed

Is there better retro or upgrade nozzle than the standard LR one? The water only used to hit the bottom of the screen so it was always pointless trying to squirting water on the screen unless I was driving or had a head wind to push it the rest of the way up the screen?! 2010 Defender 90 HT

pj2106 That sounds like just the ticket - perfect!! I'm guessing the pipe will have to be extended? Is there a thread on how to do the retro fit?? 2010 Defender 90 HT

If anyone has used this kit I'd be interested to hear how they fitted it? 2010 Defender 90 HT

That clip on kit looks perfect! All the others I've seen needed "standard" wiper blades, and I'm far keener on the bosch aero style ones.

Having said that, my wipers are getting worse, so first order of business is probably new wheel boxes...

Fit two nozzles instead, then you keep the Aeros and better jets.

(I have the Aeros too & Clayton here, very pleased with them.) $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

custom90steve: Isn't that a dash out job to fit two nozzles? I like to idea of the water being on the arms but it's going to look messy when I run the pipes T'd from the original center nozzle to the wipers? Anybody that has already done this got any photo's??? 2010 Defender 90 HT

I haven't done it myself but others here have, everything is hidden so I can't see what issues there are visually except for the two nozzles fitted.

The Nozzles are cheap, in all it's not an expensive mod but maybe a bit of an awkward fiddle. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

I agree it is a very tidy job I just don't fancy taking the dash out... Although I'm not sure what is involved taking it out other than a lot of skin missing off your knuckles, losing bolts, screws, washers flying off at all angles, complaints from the neighbors regarding the bad language, shouting and annoying humming and banging sounds coming from inside the car as you sit in the rear tub surrounded by half broken car parts banging your head against the side wall and you've decide its not worth it and you just want to go inside in the warm or to A&E to have your hands stitched back up.... Laughing

Connecting two pipes from the original nozzle somehow seems so much more appealing.... Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 2010 Defender 90 HT

You may be able to reach just, but ideally you want extra help. Someone to hold the nut, another to tighten the washer jet.
They only need to be tightened enough to be secure.

Having said this, I'm taking for granted you could get some access to the reareven if poor.
And there is the fact the centre dash has to come out.
I'd tend to think for better higher flow a 'Y' joint would be better than a 'T'. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Strange decision but on reflection and looking at the twin jet option as L110CDL installed V the pipework on the outside of the bodywork for the wiper mod I just ordered twin jets... Whistle !! Oh well I'll go get the plasters, bandages and some ear muffs for the neighbors..... Rolling with laughter !! 2010 Defender 90 HT

Be sure to report back and pics. Thumbs Up

Might go the same route one day too.

The amount of different jobs is getting on top of me at the moment, spent enough the last few months.
Spend £50 or so on cable and bits and pieces this last week in its self. Shocked $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Butchers - This was what I was thinking more of than a 'T' piece.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Y-Piece-Barbed-P...6Y4Bxu-wbA

But it isn't going to make that much difference, I'd just tend to think it would help keep the resistance of the flow at its least.
And of course as LRA did both hoses need to be identical length. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
