Convert Td5 dash to puma dash
Does anybody know of anyone who can convert a td5 dash to a puma dash, I'm currently doing a new build and I'm nearly ready to install the bulkhead , don't mind paying the money it's just to much hassle for me as I work most of the time. Thanks

You will have to move the engine/ gearbox towards the rear or fit one from a Discovery as a Puma/tdci dash is closer to the seats, and an older model gear leaver will foul the newer Dash.
Also need new heater, windscreen wiper motor plus other bits, not impossible but a faff

It's like deja vu, didn't you post this not so long ago and I gave you an answer?

Thought so:

Without repeating myself, it's not half as hard as some people make out but as foxy red said just a bit of a faff and requires time and thought put into it

Have a word with Chris at CSK, I believe he's done the conversion before. http://www.cskautomotive.co.uk/
He's based in hoddesdon, Herts. He should be able to help you out one way or another.

To my mind the main benefit of the Puma dash is the better heater / aircon system. If you don't fit the aircon then I am not sure of the advantage of the Puma dash.

Has anyone fitted aircon to their Puma dash conversion? 1995 300tdi Defender 90 P/UP

I'd prefer it the other way round. The heater is pure luxury. Agreed.
I have no air con. So I cannot talk about that.
The Puma dash looks quite tidy (an advantage for night drivers) but far too much plastics anyway.

You can have mine if you give me yours.

Spoke to Chris and he said basically it's not worth the hassle there's to much involved
Would swap my dash no problem but if I Carnt get no one to fit it then I'm gonna have to leave it, gutted.
Cheers anyhow lads 👍🏻

what condition is your TD5 dash? I think I may upgrade mine to TD5, I am thinking on switching the centre console to a better unit, better Radio install and clocks etc. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

It can be done. A friend has a 300 TDI with a puma dash. He did start from scratch though.
