That sounds pretty neat. I was looking for a way to increase the interior lighting - I quite like the idea of 2 stage.
Will you just wire it into the existing roof-mounted interior lighting circuit (I assume being LED they don't have much current draw)? If so, where are you positioning your 2-state switch? Looking forward to seeing the end results. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Nice idea, there is a lack of light in/around the middle row, but if you are installing lights there, make sure the area is dry, there is an internal drip rail, so you may want to raise the lights 10-20mm.
(Even IF your defender does not leak, the drip rail may also collect condensation) |

If they're purchased with a rating of IP65 (IEE 17th Edition Table Rating for those that may wish to refer) water/condensation won't even enter into consideration! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Hi Andrew ...
just took a peek at the photos and saw the red mood light ... made me think about a Submarine at action stations for some reason ..... Love the concept. we have some LED reading lights for the rear seats when camping that work really well, but this may prove to be a better idea when settng up the waggon with out using the built in lights that have more battery drain. great stuff!
