Before you start reading this I must advise that anyone who is of a sensitive nature or of a nervous disposition SHOULD NOT continue reading beyond this point.
The Mother in Law has unfortunately begun to get "forgetful". Recently, as my wife was busy, it fell to me to take the aforementioned Mother in Law to the day centre. Having made sure that everything was in order clothes, coatwise etc I tactfully mentioned that she might put in her teeth. She had forgotten to do this and I thought they might come in handy come dinner time at the day centre. Now we come to the heart of the matter. The teeth could not be found, and the Mother in Law could not remember where she had left them. A search was instigated. Before we go further please remember the caveat listed above regarding those of a nervous disposition or of a sensitive nature not proceding any further. This search for the missing teeth lasted for over an hour. During this search I SAW and TOUCHED "things" that no son in law should ever see let alone touch. The HORROR of it. I don't think I've fully recovered yet. I have my doubts as to whether I'll ever be a normal human being again. Anyway the missing teeth were eventually found in a tin box in the gas oven. Why did I not look there in the first place I ask my self a thousand times a day. I could have saved myself so much..... 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

Take heart, I take it you have not had to help an aged, infirm and senile mother in law both on and off the toilet on a regular basis like some of have. Steve.

I was not complaining. It was ment as a light hearted take on the situation. Went through everything you describe with my late father in law. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Regarding the gas oven....who knows? It seems to be a habit that things such as keys, glasses etc disappear to be found days later in the most unlikiest of places. There is no rhyme or reason. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

Good on you Spudfan, my wife is full of admiration for sons in law who get the bit between their teeth she's been nursing for years and says it's great when families give really practical support and even better when they do it with a sense of humour.
